Dreaming of Spring and weather nice enough to wear these beauties...
I haven’t worn this dress since I was pregnant as I get self conscious of my tummy but I felt the need for a bit of kitsch today so decided, f*** it, I’m rocking my bloat with pride! Shoe save 55/181 is these cute little flats by Glamorous, I bought them via ASOS years ago and they are hands down the comfiest shoes I’ve ever owned - you’re probably thinking that’s a given with flats, but trust me, some of the worst foot injuries I’ve ever endured came from flat shoes! They have a hidden wedge in the heel and as so cushiony soft, it’s like walking on clouds! Sadly their constant wear has started to take its toll as I realised while taking these pics on the wet ground! I’ve actually worn all the way through the soles on some places so and I’m not sure they can be repaired so they’re going to have to stay dry weather shoes from now on till I find suitable replacements!
Little #throwback to snowy times! Loved watching this little girl romp around in all the white stuff, but must admit I can’t wait to get back to long summer days spent exploring outdoors all day ☀️
The rain came back. Just when we felt like Spring had sprung Mother Nature went and snatched it back! There is even snow in our forecast next week! She’s a cruel mistress... Anyway, since we got out for an early walk and will likely be staying indoors for the rest of the day I thought I’d get back to shoe saving. 54/181 are these Matalan toe cap pumps, one of two pairs that I’ve actually had to hunt down and buy multiple times thanks to a weird series of unfortunate events including snapping the heel and a dog chewing incident, but the most recent ones have now lasted a good 8 years or so, and you can tell! Close up they are not in the best of shape, but I love them and I’ll be gutted when they do get worn beyond repair - I don’t think my chances of finding yet another preloved pair are very high!
I wrote a blog post about the whole Gen Z vs Millenial skinny jeans debate. It’s not a witty clap back or a snarky rant about the cheek of it all, just my usual ramblings about why I genuinely just don’t care, actually. Well, I cared enough to write a post about it , evidently, but you know what I mean... Check it out and tell me your thoughts! Link is in my bio...
No shoe saving today as we’ve spent most of they day making the most of the outdoors before the rain comes back tomorrow, so my battered, muddy old boots were in play. At least they aren’t wellies though! It definitely did not feel spring like today. In fact, it was bloody well freezing! But it was good to get a change of scenery and Bailey had a great time. Well, until it was time to go home then it was meltdown city. The terrible twos are already here, guys. Send cake and wine!
