Not quite as warm today, but I’m keeping things sunny with my outfit and the first shoe save of March - number 53/181. I was going to wear this last week but the day was drizzly and I didn’t want to risk ruining these lovely yellow suede shoes! I’m getting a 1980s housewife vibe from this look but I’m actually kinda digging it which is not something I ever thought I’d hear myself say... As usual, I’ll admit this bag is empty as we have no where bag-worthy to be, but it just went too well not to include it!
So we’ve officially reached the ‘transitional dressing’ stage of the year which means I’ll be spending most of my days in midi dresses like this one that I can layer up and dress up or down accordingly! Looks like I could maybe do with getting a bit more creative with that colour palette though! Any ideas??
Feeling a bit guilty for not making the most of the sunshine and getting outside but we all need a duvet day sometimes. Contrary to appearances I did actually get dressed today, these trousers are just as comfy as PJs so you could be forgiven for thinking I didn’t bother... still managed to save one last pair of shoes for the month though, my ASOS ‘Leona’ flats! That makes 52/181 and another 28 saves for the month! Still managing to stay well ahead of my 15 per month quota!
I was chatting with @preloved_blnode about our colour coordinated shoe collections recently and realised I tend to neglect my ‘neutrals’ for pictures of their more bright and bold counterparts, and that’s a shame, because it means a lot of my sparkliest beauties don’t get a look in, so just for balance, here’s a little peek at some of my non rainbow coloured but equally lovely shoes!
Another blissful day of sunshine! I do t know about you but it’s lifted my spirits no end, I always find life’s stresses far more easy to deal with when the sun is shining. The ice cream van being back also helped of course... Some warm, dry weather had also breathed some new life into the shoe challenge as I’ve been able to wear something other than boots! Save 51/181 isn’t particularly exciting, just a beaten up old pair of gold flats, but a firm fixture of my spring/summer wardrobe. Gold is such a great neutral! These are about to give up on me any minute though so I’m on the lookout for replacements!
Woohoo, the ice cream van is back in the village this afternoon! It’s quickly becoming the highlight of our week! What are you looking forward to this weekend?
