Not gonna lie – this post is basically one big massive boast.
Look at how smug I am in that photo?? Big time smug, like, check me out I’m in a hot tub and you aren’t, smug. AT SUNSET! WITH A LAKE VIEW! Yeah, I hate me too.
Way back in October I booked a special couple of days away as a treat for Dan’s Birthday – the idea was a complete relaxation retreat so I booked us in to a fancy spa hotel with a private hot tub in The Lake District. It feels like so long ago now that I booked that I’d almost forgotten it was happening, but on Thursday the time came, and with all the chaos and rushing around of Christmas we were feeling more than ready for a break!
Well, it did the trick! More to come another day on the trip itself, but needless to say we got all the R&R we were looking for. Our room was beautiful, the view was amazing and the staff were all so wonderful and welcoming. It felt like a real treat – especially having our very own hot tub, which was just so darn nice we didn’t actually make it to the spa, so we’ve decided we’ll have to go again some day to check out the rest of the facilities! Honestly, I’m not sure there is anything quite so relaxing and indulgent as being sat in a hot tub, watching the sunset with a glass of fizz in your hand.
Pure happiness right there!
Love,
Amazing! Not jealous at all!!! π π

You look so happy – I kind of hate you π I love hot tubs, they ease my ankle arthritis, if I could have one in my room rather than my bed I would – but apparently that’s not socially acceptable ;P

I say do it, ha ha! We have actually started looking at second hand ones, there might be one in my garden soon, renovation budget allowing! x
