So, I did a lot of harping on last week about what I wished I was wearing to my two Christmas parties. Two separate posts goddamit! I wrote about what I’d wear if I was allowing myself to buy anything new. I wrote about what I’d wear if I was considerably richer. The only thing left to write about is what I actually did wear. And I’m sure you are sitting right on the edge of your seat waiting to hear all about it, aren’t you? Hmm, maybe not. Anyway, 10 bonus points go to the first person who knows what I wore…. Go on, make a guess. Drum roll please…. I wore…..
A BIG SKIRT! And the bonus points go to….. Oh, everyone. Yes, I spent all week looking at gorgeous, inspiring frocks only to plump for my standard go to outfit, a big skirt. Not just to one of the parties, but to both! In my defence, I’ve been excited about testing out my new petticoats ever since they arrived, and to be honest, I rarely feel as good as I do in a big skirt so I’m making no apologies.
The first party was held at one of our newest All Bar Ones at the new Grand Central Station and I opted to wear this black and white striped skirt from Chicwish. I’ve not had the chance to wear it just yet since buying it in the Summer as I feel the satin finish makes it a little dressy, so this was the perfect occasion. Funny how I mentioned more than once in my previous posts that black or white aren’t particularly festive then ended up wearing monochrome…! To keep things Christmassy I added these red glitter peep toes by New Look, otherwise known as ‘The Christmas Shoes’ because they only come out once per year! Come to think of it, that’s a great shame, must change that…
It was a fantastic night full of food, Prosecco and dancing. Perhaps a little too much if that last blurry selfie is anything to go by!
