There are certain prints that you will always see around this time of year. Florals of any description – they’re a given. Gingham – the last couple of years it’s been a summertime must have. Nautical – oh yeah, every year without fail. This year though there is a particular print that is a little less common yet no less lovely, and it seems to be having a bit of a moment. It’s kind of a mix of the others. Blue and white, just like my favourite breton stripes, with a heavy dose of chintzy florals. Basically the kind of thing you see on a your Grandma’s favourite tea set.
Yes, a lovely china print is a favourite of mine (on both porcelain and clothing!) and I’m thrilled to see more and more of it cropping up this year. Blue and white always look pretty and fresh together, and the vintage floral prints keep things girly. I have a few items already in this style, but that wouldn’t stop me buying one of these beauties….
