Ah polka dots. I love a good polka dot, me. It’s just such a fun but classic print, I just can’t help but smile when I see a spotty dress or skirt. I especially like to wear them during the colder months, when fashion suddenly gets a bit dreary and dark. They add a much needed injection of whimsy into what can be a drab time of year.
So you can only imagine how happy I was to see what dropped into Joanie Clothing’s new in section last week – they obviously love a good polka dot too, it seems, because they’ve put them all over pretty much everything! Well, a nice little selection of dresses and a couple of skirts, anyway. They’re a cute little bunch, in Autumnal shade of navy, black and burgundy, perfect for a chilly day with tights, ankle boots and a cosy cardigan. The regular appearance of long sleeves and peter pan collars gives the collection a bit of a 60s/70s vibe, which I’m totally on board with. Just look at all those spots!
Top Row: Clara, £38 – Orla, £35 – Clemmie, £28
Second Row: Penny, £35 – Elspeth, £35 – Parker, £35
Third Row: Parker, £35 – Clemmie, £28 – Clara, £38
Bottom Row: Penny, £35 – Clara, £38 – Penny, £35
I can pretty much see myself happily wearing any of these, but I think Elspeth has my heart, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if she ends up hanging in my wardrobe soon! How about you?
Love,
I love them all! Especially the burgundy Clara dress and the white Penny one!
