Saturday Shopping – Polka Dot Perfection

Polka dots. Let’s face it, they’ve never really gone out of fashion, have they? They’re a good ol’ fashioned, classic print that probably feature in most people’s wardrobes at least once – especially, if like me, you have a penchant for vintage styles – and are pretty easy to come across all year round. Right now though, thanks to this resurgence of ruffled wrap dresses that took hold last year, they seem to be having a bit of a ‘moment’. The shops seem to be packed with sweet little spotted items, and I for one am thrilled about it (my savings account and straining wardrobe rails – not so much…)

Polka dots can come in all colours and sizes of course, but I have to say my favourite has always been the classic monochrome combo of black and white. I just love that it’s a print that can be carried through the year with ease – as much as I love a good pastel floral print or breton stripe, a lot of the time they don’t quite look right with thick black tights and chunky boots! The good old polka dot looks good with EVERYTHING though, as these darling dots demonstrate…:

Are you dotty for dots like me?
