Saturday Shopping – Pretty Pleats @ H&M

Guys, I have incredible news – I finally got myself a pink velvet pleated skirt! I know, I know, you’ve been waiting on the edge of your seats for that one….

All jokes aside, I’m pretty excited. As you know I became obsessed with these at the back end of last year and have been searching ever since for the perfect specimen. I tracked it down in the end – more on that later – but this tireless search has had an unexpected side effect. I’ve now just started yearning for all things pleated. Not just pink and velvet – pastel coloured, jewel toned, printed, chiffon – if it’s pleated and midi lengthed I want it, end of. It doesn’t even have to be a skirt, a dress will also do just fine! Come to think of it, that isn’t an unexpected side effect at all – that sounds like entirely standard Steph behaviour…

Luckily – or unluckily, depending on how you look at it – there are pleats a-plenty on the highstreet right now. One store that seems to have gotten right on board the pleated midi train is H&M, where I found this gorgeous lot on a recent visit…:
