In case I haven’t told you this before, I’m a chronic procrastinator. I specifically set today aside to catch up on some work but I’ll be honest, I don’t want to do work, and I’m not really sure why I’m pretending that I’m going to get any done this morning when I know for a fact I’ll find every excuse to do absolutely anything else till about 5pm, then I’ll get myself in a mad stress trying to squeeze as much in as I can before the week kicks off again tomorrow. This is my way. So far, instead of working I’ve already rearranged my Pinterest boards, found some new blogs to follow and started writing a Christmas shopping list, and it’s not even lunchtime yet. It’s safe to say I was open to distractions when I opened my laptop this morning, so when an email from JOY dropped into my inbox entitled ‘EVERYTHING 50% OFF!!’ I thought ‘Why the hell not??’ and clicked through to check it out.
JOY is a site I often forget to visit these days since it closed down most of it’s high street stores, but every now and then a little prompt like this reminds me I really should stop by more often – it stocks lots of girly, vintage style treats from independent brands including one of my favourites, Louche. It’s mid-season sale is offering plenty of Autumn essentials to stock up on at half price, like cosy knitwear and cute transitional dresses, but I personally couldn’t help drooling over all the leftover Summer stock they must have pulled out from the back of the stock cupboard – hundreds of pretty, bright frocks and sweet, cropped cardigans that have no place whatsoever in today’s climate, but that I’d happily have sitting in the wardrobe for the next few 6 months just knowing I’ll get to wear them at some point. Who knows, maybe I could wear them on that holiday I keep wishing for….? Here are my favourites, in case you were wondering the Kiah, Jacqui and Jerrica dresses are currently playing swapsies in my basket….
