Moments of Weakness – November

Ok, so I’m going to start this post with a confession – what I am about to list as far as purchases go this month is only part of the picture. I actually had a bit of a splurge on Everything5pounds.com (if you can call it a splurge at £5 per item…) but I was honestly so chuffed with the results that I’m planning a separate post about it! So things probably look a little restrained this month, which isn’t entirely true. But hey, it’s Christmas right? So I’m sure I’ll forgive myself for the odd treat…!

And the treats started here:

While doing some Christmas shopping at River Island I allowed my head to be turned by the sale and couldn’t resist this rather festively hued cami top, which I’ve already worn out for my team’s Christmas meal! I’m in no way lacking in the cami top department, but red is a colour I don’t have a lot of despite it being a colour I always feel really confident in so I’m not feeling too guilty! I also picked up this cute little wrap over cardi as a cover up for all those tea dresses I rely on through the colder months. I had a few in this style when I was younger and this has really reignited my love for them! It’s a really flattering shape that always reminds me of ballerinas, and I’m now hankering after some softer pastel coloured ones – let me know if you spot any out and about!

It seems wrap over tops was a bit of a theme for my purchases this month as I also finally managed to pick this up:

Nov Weakness 4

I’ve been admiring this Oasis top for some time, especially once it went in the sale, but no matter how many places I looked (and believe me, I looked EVERYWHERE…) I just couldn’t seem to find one in my size. Finally last week I spied one on eBay, brand new with tags on Buy It Now, so I snapped it up! It’s the perfect top for a more casual festive outing and I’m really looking forward to wearing it, probably with my glittery Carvela ‘Leila’ shoes…!

Finally, I also managed to bag these Carvela beauties:

Nov Weakness

Again, these have been on my wish list for quite some time. A couple of years ago Paloma Faith appeared on a chat show rocking a pair of red leopard print heels and I was bombarded with messages from friends saying, ‘OMG DID YOU SEE HER SHOES?? YOU NEEEEEEED THEM!’ I wholeheartedly agreed of course, and tracked down the Ghost style by the Kurt Geiger label pretty easily. As always seems to be the case though, they sold out long before I’d managed to lay my hands on a pair and a very long eBay stalk ensued. Finally this was the month they became mine and I’m thrilled with them! They couldn’t have arrived at a better time as they’re the perfect shoes to wear with tights so provided this snow clears up I’ll be looking to give them a test drive as soon as possible!

And amazingly, that’s it! I’m actually feeling pretty chuffed with myself given that Black Friday fell this month and the shops are chock full of sparkly things! I did get a bonus last week though so I might not be quite so well behaved throughout December…!

Watch this space!

Love,

Sig
