Just before Christmas last year, I wrote this post all about how River Island had surprised and impressed me with their footwear range. It’s a store that, until then, I’d always associated with the fashion failures of my youth, so I wasn’t expecting such a gorgeous collection of glamorous and sophisticated shoes! It was the festive season though, and we all know a generous dose of glitz can bedazzle anyone, so was it just a fluke? Definitely not, if the latest lot is anything to go by!
Once again, they’ve blown me away with the sheer number of absolutely stunning heels. The luxurious satin, metallics and embellishments of Christmas haven’t really gone away which is a nice surprise in July (#glitterisforlifenotjustforchristmas!!) but a new addition I’m thrilled to see is my favourite ever adornment – the humble bow.
These bows aren’t particularly humble though, come to think of it. In fact one or two are downright spectacular! Feast your eyes on this lot…:

The standout pair for me have to be those dark red glitter beauties, but I have to say I’d be hard pushed to whittle this lot down to an acceptable number of purchases. The royal blue satin, the pastel suede and the rose gold glitter is all testing my willpower quite dramatically! Revisiting the last post has also resulted in a renewed passion for eBay stalking the last lot, so I probably shouldn’t dither too long as I’m pretty sure they won’t be around for too long!
