February Lust Haves

Soooooo, February is already drawing to a close – how did that happen? This was 5 minutes ago wasn’t it?? Oh well, I’ve got a great month ahead of me in March so I’m not particularly concerned about the rapid passing of time like I normally would be. Also, the light nights and mornings are sneaking in at last, and we all know how I feel about that, so I can’t pretend I’m devastated about hurtling towards Spring at a rate of knots…. Since I was struggling so much with resisting stuff last month I’ve done awfully well at resisting the stuff on my list. Though I might not have done as well at resisting stuff in my eBay watchlist, but that’s a story for another day…..

Anyway! Given that it was my Birthday month I’ve been rather spoilt, so my list isn’t quite as lusty this time, as in I might not die if I don’t have them soon. I said might! Here’s what has caught my attention during Feb….

Cordelia Dress
‘Cordelia’ Pencil Dress, Collectif, £47.50

First up, cop a load of this stunner! I’ve been so busy obsessing over their AMAZING sale bargains (definite contender for best January sale this year I think…) that I almost forgot to check out the New In section over at Collectif. I kinda wish I had forgotten, because Cordelia is the very first frock on the page, and now I can’t get her out of my head. Now, I’m not what you would class a ‘sexy’ person. In fact the idea is laughable. I’m not even sure I know how to be sexy to be honest, I’m pretty sure the results would be hilarious if I gave it a shot. The whole idea is starting to make me feel really awkward actually so I’ll leave it there, except to say that in this dress? Maybe. Just maybe. Erm, what was I saying about being less lusty??

Warehouse Leather Skirt
Leather Look Skirt, Warehouse, £39

Moving on from that excruciatingly embarrassing display then, and onto this little number. As you know, my latest obsession is the A-Line mini, last seen here and here, and I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a leather-look one. I know, who do I think I am exactly? A hot, red, slinky dress, now a leather mini?? Oh well, if I chose not to wear something every time I worried I looked a little silly half my wardrobe would be defunkt so sod it. If I like it, that’s all that matters!

Stripe Skirt
Stripe Midi, Oasis, £60

Next up, something a little more befitting of my usual style, and this gorgeous creations, from one of my favourite stores, Oasis.  There isn’t really much I need to say here is here? I’m probably not going to buy this skirt, as £60 is quite a lot to spend on a skirt that is pretty much exactly the same as one you already own except for a slightly different shade, still, it’s slightly concerning that for two months in a row striped, full midis have featured on my list of wants, especially when I actually got one for my Birthday last week. Do you think there are support groups for this kind of thing?

DB Princess Coat
DB Princess Coat, Oasis, now £68

Sticking with Oasis, and the next thing on my list is this rather adorable princess coat. Don’t tell Amy, but I’m kinda getting bored of her now. It’s not really the time to be splashing out on a new coat, but with that little hint of Spring wafting on the breeze (did I say breeze? Maybe gale is more suitable a phrase) I’ve been yearning for something a little more pretty and cheerful, and this sweet, sugary shade of pink is just the ticket. Nothing makes me feel more Spring-like than when those pastel shades hit the stores, but Mr Weather Man is predicting yet more sub-zero temperatures in the next few weeks, so this could be the perfect compromise! Also, it’s on sale, soooo…..

Bethan Cigarette Pants
‘Bethan’ Dogtooth Pants, Lindy Bop, £28

Finally, I bet you thought for a minute that maybe I’d managed to get through a whole Wish List without mentioning Lindy Bop didn’t you? Wrong. Admittedly, it’s not a dress for a change, but to be honest, I’m pretty sure that’s only because I accidentally acquired three new Lindy Bop frocks this month (with Birthday money, I promise!!) so I’m too scared to look at any more! What’s actually caught my eye are these rather cute ‘Bethan’ cigarette pants. All this talk of Spring is reminding me that I’ll be able to get all my shoes back out soon and actually let my feet see the light of day (note to self: time to book a pedicure appointment…) so I’ve been fantasising about growing my printed trouser collection a little more. In the meantime, that Dogstooth print is equally Winter appropriate, so while we yearn for a day when it’s warm enough to bare out ankles, I could wear these with ankle boots to get through the interim! SO WHAT THE HELL AM I WAITING FOR?? GIMME!

Anything special on your Wish List this month?

Love,

Sig
